How close can you get to the second-richest man in the world?

Evidently not too close unless you have a special ticket. I caught a glimpse of Bill Gates from a distance this morning at the Texas Union. He’s on a five-campus speaking tour this week.


I want to know if there are any lucky students out there who got tickets to Bill Gates on Wednesday and the Barack Obama-Hillary Clinton debate on campus on Thursday. If there are, they should go to Vegas. The odds are definitely working in their favor.

By the way, if you noted the irony of me taking a photo of Bill Gates on an Apple iPhone, you’re a big nerd (like me).

The Forty Acres seems to be the center of the universe this week, but isn't it always ;-) Another great perk for working on campus. Maybe you can grab some candid shots of Wolf Blitzer and John King binging on Madam Mam's this week.

i never saw anyone famous when i worked at the union... unless you count local celeb, jennifer gale, in the women's bathroom... which i don't.
