Like Father Like Son

Luke's face plant at the playgroup on Thursday wasn't the first time a James boy's face has come into direct contact with the pavement.

In 1983, I was rolling down our inclined driveway on my skateboard on my stomach and ran over a stick. The skateboard stopped; I kept going.

I guess the carrot helped take away some of the pain.

I remember that like it was yesterday. I think you left face skin across 20 yards of the driveway.

Your face looked better in the picture than when you first bit the dust. You were a mess. I think you were eventually proud of your battle scars once you stopped bleeding.
