Anyway...this summer seems like it was so busy. Too busy. In hindsight, I wish we wouldn't have signed Luke up for the summer program at his school because it was just too much. But we have had the month of August to have some time to ourselves. Mark made the comment last night that this would be the last August for the next 20ish years that we won't be getting ready for the kids to start school. I get sad when I think about Luke being gone five days a week for about 8 hours. I think that may be why some people homeschool. They just can't bear to let their kids leave them.
Here are a few photos of things going on with us:
Mark and Maggie worked almost all day Saturday making this path in our backyard with crushed granite. I think it looks great and I think Maggie is an extraordinary person to come work outside in the 100+ degree heat to help her nephew with a project. I know Mark couldn't have done it without her.
I really need to do a post about these two sweet boys and all the stuff Ethan is doing at 16 months old. Hopefully soon. For now, here are pictures of them at Chipotle. One of Luke's favorite foods is rice from Chipotle. We eat there every Sunday after church. I love our little lunch ritual and I am so happy that we found a church we love. I didn't realize how much I missed going to church (we had just been going to Sunday School). More on that later too hopefully.
Luke and I have gone to the pool in the evenings quite a few times this summer. It is fun one on one time. Last night he wanted to wear these black sunglasses that he got at Lily's birthday party and he also wore his Green Lantern mask to the pool and while swimming so he could be "Aqua Lad." :)
I guess that is enough of an update for now. I'm about to throw this Mac out the window because I cannot get the pictures spaced and aligned correctly.

The granite path-----Beautiful!!
The evening swims sound like so much fun - Aqua Lad is getting so tall! Hard to believe our Lukie B will be 5 years old!
I love Ethan's little sober face in the pictures.
We do enjoy the updates! Thanks!
Love,
Ammy
We can't wait to see the yard and the path. I know Mark has been working diligently since you guys bought the new house. Mark has such a good eye for landscaping. The boys are growing up. They are just so cute! It all goes by faster than you realize so enjoy each stage. Love you all, Nana
