This post is only about a month late but better late than never, right? Shauna planned an adorable and fun birthday party for Ethan and Eli last month. I could say that I was too busy with the move to plan a party—but really—Shauna has a gift for all things creative so I wanted Ethan be included in one of her wonderful party ideas.
Shauna already posted all about it. She thought of the super cute theme based on the “Pigeon” books by Mo Willems. She planned every last detail. All I did was bring the food for lunch. Also, her mother-in-law, Carla, made both boys the CUTEST little keepsake book. You can kind of see it on the table in the pictures above. The party was lots of fun. The kids had a “pigeon egg” hunt and Shauna even made the bus from Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus for the kids to play in. We had such a fun day celebrating our sweet boys. Uncle David even flew all the way from San Francisco for the occasion! Thanks Aunt Shauna for making Ethan’s first birthday party so special!
{Attempting to get a picture of the birthday boys but failing, so Ethan got a solo pic}

so cute! we love the pigeon books. actually, anything mo willems. awesome idea!!!
Such a great party for Ethan and Eli - I don't blame you for letting Shauna (aka the party guru) to run with the pigeon theme - so cute!
Ethan is mellow and calm but he knows how to party - look at those expressions on his face!! Pure delight and excitement. We had such a good time with everyone at the lake. Sweet memories.
Love, Ammy
My favorite memory is Ethan owning that bouncy castle. He wasn't afraid one bit. And yes, Shauna is a master at the party themes. It's a true gift.
Lovely baby!
