Singing

Luke came home from Mother’s Day Out a few months ago singing three songs: “Jesus Loves Me,” “Jesus Loves the Little Children” and “The Jesus Song.” Haven’t heard of the last one? Neither has anyone else. He made it up evidently because we asked his teachers what the words were, and they said they’d never heard of it. It basically goes like this: Jesus (clap, clap)/Jesus (clap, clap)/Jesus (clap, clap).

You get the idea. :-)

A few weeks ago we captured Luke singing two of these songs on Mark’s iPhone: Jesus Loves Me and Luke’s original “The Jesus Song.”

We don’t take credit for the last sound you’ll hear.

Adorable. You have a budding singer/songwriter in the family. Lay some tracks on the "Jesus Song" and you'll be set for life. They say publishing is where the money's at.

You'll be so glad you have those recordings years from now.

My heart melts every time I hear that sweet little voice. I hope that the "Jesus Song" is the beginning of many more originals from our little LBJ.

Lukie's original 'Jesus song' is one of Lily's most requested. That's too cute.
